What Methods of Payment are Accepted?

      Cash

      e-Transfer

      Major Credit Card

If paying by etransfer, your transfer must be received 48 hours prior to your appointment.

What is the Cancellation Notice Policy? What about No-Shows?

48 hours is required to cancel an appointment, without charge. If less than 48 hours notice is provided, for any reason, full session fees are charged. To cancel or reschedule your appointment please text 780.678.9796 or email sawatzkyeb@gmail.com

No shows for appointments are charged at the full session fee.

Why is 48 hours Required to Cancel?

This is because when you book an appointment, your therapist makes a time commitment to you, and only you. Providing 48 hours or more notice to cancel your appointment allows your clinician to attempt to fill your appointment date and time with another patient who is waiting for services.

What are the Appointment Lengths?

Counselling appointments are typically 50 minutes in length. This allows 10 minutes at the end for the clinician to complete administrative work such as emailing you homework items, charting, or processing payment.

What if I want Longer Appointments?

Longer appointments are absolutely accommodated! Please let us know when you are booking if you want longer appointments. Fee's will be pro-rated.

Are your Clinicians Covered by my Health Insurance/Benefit Plan?

Our Clinicians are covered under several insurance plans, however, all plans are different based on what your employer has purchased. Each plan is different in the amount and type of psychological service providers covered. If reimbursement is important to you, we encourage you to call your insurance company in advance of your appointment to confirm session coverage under your particular plan. We are not responsible for fees not covered under your plan; this is entirely your responsibility. NEW: ABSEBP has updated their plans Jan 2023 to cover Clinical Counsellors as well!

Do you offer Direct Billing?

We are a small rural practice without the administrative support that is required to offer direct billing. Once payment is received for your session you will be provided with an electronic receipt to submit to your insurance company according to your plans details and limits.

Can I email my Therapist in-between sessions? How much does this cost?

Therapeutic contact via email in between sessions is considered billable time, and associated fees will be prorated. This includes any time a therapist spends on a client's in session, phone, video, working on your file such as writing reports, writing notes to physicians, school administration, or other healthcare professionals, or responding to your emails between sessions that have therapeutic content. All activities related to therapy that require the clinician to be in contact with you outside of sessions will be billed to you.

Non-billable time/non-therapeutic contact are activities such as booking and changing appointments and administrative work on your file. Time for these activities are not billable. To make changes to your appointments please email admin@countrycounselling.com

Do you offer a Sliding Scale?

We do not offer a sliding scale at CCS, due to the costs associated with running a private practice. If affordability is an issue, there are publicly covered providers such as Alberta Mental Health and Addictions or the Camrose PCN that may be able to help you.
