Children, teens, and families often come to therapy during times of change, stress, or uncertainty. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive space where children and youth can express themselves, build confidence, and develop skills that help them feel more capable—at home, at school, and in their relationships.

Every child, adolescent, and family brings their own values, experiences, strengths, and challenges. I take the time to understand the whole picture and use evidence-based approaches that are carefully matched to each client’s developmental stage, personality, and goals. Therapy is always collaborative and paced in a way that feels safe and manageable.

I regularly work with:
-
Children (ages 6+), adolescents, and teens
-
Parents and caregivers seeking guidance and support
-
Families navigating conflict, transitions, or communication challenges

My therapeutic approach draws from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, and solution-focused therapy. I work from a biopsychosocial perspective, recognizing how emotional well-being is shaped by biological factors, thoughts and feelings, relationships, and environment.

As part of Country Counselling Services, I collaborate within a whole-person model of care, which may include assessment, consultation, and referrals when appropriate—ensuring children and families receive well-rounded, thoughtful support.

In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved in supporting children and youth across Alberta, Canada, and internationally, and I serve on boards advocating for improved mental health services and access for families.

I am registered as a Child and Youth Care Counsellor and Counselling Therapist in Alberta (2086), a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCPA).

I currently provide therapy for children (ages 6+), youth, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with a strong focus on family mediation, separation and divorce support, and parenting therapy designed in the best interests of all involved.
