I believe that therapy is a safe place for individuals to be heard and explore their own strengths in working towards positive changes in their lives. Everyone comes to therapy with their own unique perspectives, beliefs, and coping abilities which when combined with current research, allows me to draw upon approaches that best match each client's needs and goals for therapy. I firmly believe that the natural and relaxed environment that I can provide at Country Counselling Services, enables my clients in overcoming barriers they may feel in regards to intimidation about the counselling process. I conduct intakes and create treatment plans from a biopsychosocial lens that incorporates mind and body into assessment, treatment, and referrals as necessary.

Theoretical Approach & Areas of Special Interest
I believe therapy provides an opportunity for individuals to express themselves and work towards independence, personal strength, and individual goals. Each and everyone who comes to therapy has their values, beliefs, perspectives, and coping abilities, therefore, when utilizing the most ideal approaches and therapeutic modalities to support each client achieve their goals.
The therapeutic modalities that I often utilize with clients include cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. I firmly believe in approaching therapy from a biopsychosocial approach, understanding the complex interactions of a person's biological, psychological, and social functioning and the influence and impact these factors may have on one’s overall health and well-being. Working with Country Counselling we offer services that support the “whole person” providing assessments and referrals as needed to provide a well-rounded treatment plan.
When I am not working with Country Counselling Services and my private practice you can find me supporting children and youth in various capacities across Alberta, Canada, and Internationally, sitting on various boards advocating for Mental Health supports and services.
Having a specialist interest in Family mediation, I work with couples to create mutually beneficial parenting plans with the best interest of their children in mind, amicable separation, and divorce plans. Currently Registered as a Child and Youth Care Counsellor & Counselling Therapist (2086) AB, I begin my practice with children as young as 6 years of age and am also registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) as a Registered Clinical Counsellor and with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association as a Canadian Certified Counsellor.
While continuing my education and professional development and planning to register with CAP in the future, I currently provide services with children ages 6 and up, youth, adults, and seniors, individual, couples, and family therapy. Specializing in Family Mediation, Separation and Divorce, and Parenting plans focusing on the best interest of all involved.
